Laurel Gitlen

Laurel Gitlen founded her eponymous gallery in the Lower East Side in 2008 with an ambitious exhibition program across media.  From 2008-2016, the gallery presented numerous exhibitions with artists known for their conceptual rigor and formal innovation in two locations  In 2022, Laurel Gitlen opened a new exhibition space in the Apple Bank Building on the Lower East Side and presented three years of exhibitions again focused on ambitious and experimental positions.  The gallery is currently between locations and continues to participate in fairs and off-site projects.
